Dinner Socials

The Dinner Social was created to keep in touch over the winter months.  A simple 2 hour dinner usually from 7-9 PM with fellow members once a month.  Places are chosen by one member and another member is chosen to choose the next place.  Not all dinners are documented and it only lasted a year or two.  This was John's project and it fell through after he sold KOOPA.

April 14:  Encore Dinner Social

Wow!  The Moose's Tooth was more like a bar.  And the AKMC represented taking up the middle section and having a good time.  It was nice to see everyone especially Michelle, Mary Ann, and Terry.  The food and company was nice but we must start reserving as we are averaging over 10 people at these dinner socials.  This was the last one until October.  Thanks to Meera for a wonderful event.

Mar 21:  O'Brady's Dinner Social

The last winter season dinner social was a success!  So many members showed up we had to rearrange furniture and still relocate to another section.  The purpose of the AKMC dinner socials are to get to know your fellow members beyond Miatas.  Thanks to Bruce for picking a great location and thanks to everyone who made it a pleasure of getting to know each other a little better.  The food was delicious and dessert was yummy too.  For those who missed it, we look forward to meeting you this season.  As a special encore, Meera is planning another dinner social for April.

Jan 26:  Little New Orleans Dinner Social

It was great to see everyone who dropped by.  We got the latest from Jeff, his new motor, and the $50 BMW "beater".  Tracey told us more about herself and plans of moving to Vermont this February.  If you never met Tracey, she owns Junior, a 1989 Red.  She used to autocross and donated her collection of Miata Magazines to the AKMC.  Thank you, Tracey and good luck from all of us.  Marilyn, Mike, and John were also present.  Special thanks to Kristi for taking the picture.  The food was very good and the ambiance was peaceful.  Perfect for a wonderful winter gathering.  Mike will choose next months location.
